I liked the location. It's 10-15min walking distance from Queen street station and Buchanan Street. The receptionist was also good. The checkin was smooth. Everything was as shown in the listing. Bed, bathroom and linens were super clean and comfortable. There were curtains all around the bed. A lamp and socket for charging mobile through data chord and one more for charging through charger was there near the bed. In female 6 bed dormitory, only problem was the location. I was in dorm no. 002 and right outside the road was there. People were talking at least till midnight on the road and could not sleep well due to that. A locker is provided in the dorm for each person. However, there was no lock. So, carry a lock for yourself if needed. If you have to keep your bag before your checkin or after your checkout in the hostel, there is a 1 time charge of £3.

Great stay in a location that can't be beat. Spacious and naturally bright rooms with curtains on every bed (!!), lockers, a beautiful ensuite with big shower and shelving, and each bed had a lamp and power outlets. There's also a nice, clean common room, reliable WiFi, and a coffee dispenser downstairs which was appreciated. I stayed at a different hostel during my last visit to Glasgow and while both were cosy and comfortable, it was a much further walk from everything than Safestay was. This trip, I went to a show at the Kings Theatre and it was literally a 20 second walk from the door.

Around a 15 minute walk from Queen Street station, the hotel is in a good location, with plenty of shops, eateries and bars in the vicinity. It’s very well situated if you want to attend gigs at The Garage or King Tuts, and is just along the road from the Kings Theatre. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the well stocked vending machine is useful. We booked an en suite double room and it was perfectly adequate for our two night stay. The room was basic but clean, comfortable and the wall fan was very welcome in the recent hot weather. The shower was great too.

I really enjoyed the facilities having traveled around Scotland a lot, this is actually one of the best hostels I’ve visited. Really clean, fast service, nice people. I always choose to stay in a dorm with less beds (for example all female) and it’s super nice and spacious. The beds have curtains which is awesome after I’ve been to so many hostels that for some reason they have been removed. The one thing I didn’t like was that I had to pay £3,00 for storage. This is the first time I get charged for this, but the positive was that it was locked somewhere safe.

Just a few meters from a train station that serves the entire city and also has trains to Edinburgh. The building is quite old and has an old smell, but nothing that bothers you. The hostel caters to people of all ages and this can guarantee that someone will snore next to you. The bed is not that comfortable, but it suited me very well and the bathroom inside the room was not a problem, although if the room is full it can be. The bathroom was quite wet after other guests had used it, but this is not a big problem.
